thanks for the replies, my friends. Perhaps I will be back in the fall. Right now I am taking an advanced biostats class with which I am on the computer so much it makes me sick of the computer. It makes laundry and cleaning a relief. Sadly, Liz, I have not really resumed running regularly since my knee was hurting. The bright side is that my dh started running AND I did meet someone who successfully followed the "couch to 5K" training regime (however you spell it!)

My garden is doing ok. We have had cucumbers and peppers from it, a few strawberries, and herbs. The melons are growing large and the tomatoes are beginning to ripen. We have had a favorable response from the neighbors...there was a little concern about this since we did plow up part of the front yard to plant it.
